DJs at Paramount: Susan Morabito Inspired by a lifelong passion and love for dance music, Susan Morabito has one of the most distinctive and unique styles of any DJ working in the world today. Skillfully dropping European progressive house, trance, tribal and underground domestic house, minus a lot of the big hits, she creates a soundscape that leads her audience on a complete musical journey. The level of energy and range of emotion that she brings to a dance floor is legendary among her fans. She is "incomparable" and is one of the most sought-after event DJs in the world, providing a lower-key groove to some of the biggest social gatherings of the year. Playing for varied audiences in New York City and the Pines, and at clubs and events in the gay community nationally, Morabito continues to attract new fans and maintains longevity in the booth that is respected and notable among her peers. Susan has played virtually every club in NYC—Twilo, Roxy, Sound Factory, Limelight (now Avalon), Palladium, Cielo and SBNY and has been among Saint-at-Large DJ's since 1994 when she shattered the glass ceiling and was the first woman ever to play the Black Party. After more than 20 years working in the world of music, Susan has earned a reputation of being musically tasteful, versatile, selective and creative. The Crown & Anchor is honored for her return engagement in Paramount on Saturday July 1, 2006. |
