DJ Randy Bettis

After leaving the bright lights of Broadway in 1998, as a dancer/singer 2004 was a breakout year for Randy Bettis, the New York based DJ/producer. Spring brought the national release of his first commercial mixed CD, Centaur Entertainment's official 2004 Orlando Gay Days CD (which he has subsequently been the mixmaster on the 2005 & 2006 version and has been offered the 2007 CD compilation as well). The national exposure continued with Randy spinning at Denver's A Weekend in OZ, Palm Springs' White Party, and Austin's Perfect Day among others.

2005 continued the momentum with Randy manning the turntables at 3 of New York City's biggest dance events: the Saint-at-Large Escape To Candyland; the Saint at Large Black Party–Lucha Libre: Rites XXVI; and the 19th Annual Heritage of Pride Gay Pride Pier Dance.

And things just keep getting better. In 2006, Randy took his third turn as mixmaster on Centaur’s annual Gay Days CD for Orlando Gay Day. DJRB, along with the BetBoyz Team, in association with Centaur Music and GayDays.com developed his first ever promotional tour - Gay Days Tour 2006. This was also the year that Randy took his music to the sea on both the "R Family Cruise" and the "RSVP Mexican Riviera Cruise". Beginning May 22, you can how hear Randy's mixed sets on every Monday evening on G.I.R.L. (GayInternetRadioLive.com). In addition to all that Randy is proud to have been elected to the illustrious Billboard Panel, as part of a nationwide panel that ultimately is responsible for the charting of all the dance music released in the United States. To cap off 2006 DJRB & The Gay Days Tour was very honored to have been voted "Best Circuit Tour of 2006" by the members of JustCircuit.com.

In addition to paying the rent, Randy also pays it forward, regularly donating his talents as DJ and music producer. He is regular feature of Broadway Bares, spinning tunes between performances and providing music production and editing services for the annual spectacular benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 2004's Bliss in Fire Island Pines, which Randy co-produced and spun, raised funds for the Stonewall Community Foundation and the Foundation for Integrative AIDS Research. Over the years, Randy has donated his services to raise funds for a number of other organizations including Dancers Responding To AIDS, New York Theater Workshop, and VisualAIDS.

Recent projects include remixes for Aussie artist Karen Jacobsen, Broadway star Billy Porter, hot singing sensation Brian Kent and Junior Vasquez recording artist Jason Walker. Additionally, BetBoyz recently completed a full-scale musical, The Groove Factory, which is being considered for various musical-theater festivals.
