In the past few years, folks have been taking notice as the multi-talented DJ Drew G. Drew takes his sonic soundscapes from beyond the boroughs of New York and brings them to packed dance floors up and down the East Coast, over to California, Europe ... pretty much everywhere there is a sophisticated, thinking, dancing population.

In a multi-media, multi-platform world, Drew brings his own multi-talents into the DJ booth. An accomplished musician playing an astounding 10 instruments since childhood, Drew not only can take a packed dance floor on an audio journey filled with anthem after anthem, he backs it up with master production skills, prolific remixing abilities and a professional's knack for promotion.

A Long Island, NY-native, Drew was destined to spin with a father who tried his hand at being a DJ and a mother who frequented Studio 54 and Paradise Garage. Drew quite literally has the beat in his blood. Certainly few club DJs can lay claim to having the beginnings of their musical careers defined by playing guitar in various death metal bands during their adolescence, but by the time he turned 18, Drew and his band had already released five albums and he had produced several others for fellow local bands.

Drew's attention eventually became focused on the New York City house music scene where he began recording and mixing house tracks that showcased his guitar work. His first foray behind the tables had him spinning a combo of disco, hip-hop and rock music at his first New York City gig - Friday nights at Stonewall. With his (first) residency at Gypsy Tea After-Hours, he honed his craft to become equally comfortable spinning peak hour-high energy/circuit and deep dark hard tribal sounds. Soon after, Drew accepted an internship at Peter Rauhofer's imprint, Star 69, and within months became the retail marketing rep for the label.

Classically trained in classical composition and big band arrangement, his ear is honed beyond the beats. On any given evening in a club his sound is a bounty of current chart-topping hits, classics, rare imports, several of his own unreleased mixes all finished off with his signature quirky sign off track. Like any good DJ, he instinctively know how to craft the energy in the room to completely enhance the vibe the crowd is feeling.

Drew's next-gen sound did more than just catch the attention of venues. In just a few years he has lined-up high profile residencies in New York City at the posh G and HK Lounge and at testosterone-filled dive bars like GYM Sportsbar and The Eagle. More recent residencies that he's added to his packed calendar include Cobalt in Washington, DC, Voyeur in Philadelphia as well as Mj's & Mickey's in Los Angeles.

The youngest DJ to ever play the famed Black Party (twice) as well as the legendary Roxy, Drew racks up numerous invitations each year to spin special events around the globe. In the last two years he has been invited to DJ at the Presidential Inaugural Dance for Barack Obama, to bring his music to multiple events at Carnival in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to heat up the slopes at Gay & Lesbian Ski Week 2010 in Steamboat Springs, CO as well as events in Paris and Hong Kong.

Beyond the notoriety he has with those on the dance floor, the industry has taken note of his expansive production skills. Most recently he's been spending his studio time producing Mýa's new album set for release in mid-2010 as well as remixes for the Fame Monster herself, Lady Gaga. Add these names to the list of mega music stars he has already worked with including Ashanti, for who he crafted two official hit remixes for, as well as remixing the likes of Whitney Houston, David Archuletta, Britney Spears, P!nk, Mario Vasquez, Deborah Cox, Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige, Good Charlotte and Chris Brown. Drew's production skills arent limited to just chart-topping musicians. Drew has lent his skills to WNBC (NYC, NY) News 4 co-anchor Sue Simmons, drag divas Peppermint Gummybear and Sherry Vine - even Kermit the Frog.

Drew has also delved into the television industry producing tracks for RuPaul's television show Drag Race and for Make Me a Supermodel's Ronnie Kroell. For a number of years he has hosted his own Internet Radio show "Signs of the Times" which was picked up in February 2010 for broadcast by 103.5 Max FM in Manilla, Philippines.
